Transformers 3 Plot Summary

From the same source that revealed the official title of TF3 as Transformers: The Dark of Moon now provides us with the official plot summary for the movie. The information comes from Amazon, via TFW2005, with an early entry for Transformers 3 Push-Pops, which are books with pop-up pages based on the movie. Well "plot" might be too strong a word as it doesn't reveal a thing that Michael Bay didn't talk about more than four months ago in a USA Today article. With minor tweaks this could be used to describe many episodes of the Generation 1 cartoon series. Thanks to Kris for the heads-up.

The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
