New Blog Logo, Posters (Updated)

Brief blog note. Big thanks to Jeffrey of Pixel Rally for the new blog title, especially the sweet Autobot and Decepticon symbols with the Moon in them to match the new logo for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. What do you think?Update: Jeffrey was kind enough to make public his designs for the Decepticon and Autobot logos along with two posters of his own creation. These are not official designs for the movie, but inspired by the current title design. The four images can be found here. If you do snag em for your websites or whatever, just make sure to give Jeffery and Pixel Rally the credit

Transformers 3 Teaser Poster? Nope (Updated)

TFormers.com has posted a possible teaser poster for Transformers: The Dark of the Moon that "Bru No" spotted at a hotel conference room. It is hard to tell if it is the real deal but includes a good look at the head of Shockwave as floats behind the image of the moon emblazed with the Decepticon logo and the tagline "Be Afraid of the Dark."Update: Bumping up this post from 10/27/10 as to probably the surprise of no-one, the poster is a fake. Michael Bay did another one of his random drive-by on his official forums, posting, "Total fake poster. The story logline is also a misdirect." Thanks t

Official Movie Site with Logo, International Release Dates
The official website for the Transformers movies has updated its look to reflect the upcoming movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon which was officially revealed via Entertainment Tonight. The only difference between the leaked news and now is the dropping of a "The", amazingly creating a better title. As the pic shows, the new logo uses the same font as previous movies but with a sharper looking black and silver color scheme (ironically following the Hasbro tradition of repaints schemes being better then original). I have already modified the blog's title to reflect the new logo via the compl

Transformers Prime Trailer and Clip.
The Hub finally decided it was time to reveal more information about Transformers: Prime by letting everyone know about the "mini-series" event that gets off with an hour long premiere on November 26th. Still no news on the exact time slot of the show. USA Today posted an article with a clip while IGN has the first trailer for the new cartoon. USA Today mentions that there will be toys with the new series but no release date for them. Based on what little is show in the videos below, the CGI seems more Beast Wars Season 1 then Beast Wars Season 3 in detail.Executive producers Alex Kurtzman

Transformers: Dark of the Moon ET Report

Entertainment Tonight has posted their article of video of the behind the scenes report from the Chicago set of Transformers 3. The video includes set footage, explosions and the sales pitch of the movie from Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, and Josh Duhamel. Pretty much no spoilers are revealed but the title does drop a "the" with official title being "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" which oddly enough does make a difference. If want to get a little meta, thanks to Colin Hinkle for the picture of behind the scenes of ET filming behind the scenes of TF:DO
Transformers: Prime Official Premiere Schedule

The Hub network has issued a press release finally verifying the official launch date of Transformers: Prime as Friday, November 26th as previousily rumored. On the 26th, The Hub will air the first two parts of Darkness Rising with parts 3-5 airing on December 2nd through 5th. The press release breaks down the confusing schedule but there are multiple repeats with a mini-marathon on December 4th from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Assuming I am reading the release's tea leaves correctly, after the "mini-series" event, Transformres: Prime's regular schedule will be Fridays at 6:30pm. Have to say, whoeve

Transformers 3 Chicago Nostalgia (Updated)

Tomorrow night Entertainment Tonight will air a report from the Transformers: The Dark of the Moon Chicago set. This seems like a good time to flashback to some of the sites from around the Windy City through the lens of Jeffrey Marshall of Pixel Rally who brought us much of the images we saw from the filming back in July and August. Below is the second ET commercial for their report and also select images from his image gallery. It is worth clicking to as he provides little bits of info on what the image is about and who is in it. The highlights include some Bayhem, close-up of the 3D view

Two Transformers related programs will be hitting the airwaves soon. The first is a rumored report about Transformers: The Dark of the Moon for Canada's Entertainment Tonight for Thursday October 28th at 7PM EST. I assume that means the US may have the same report around the same time but not really sure. No details on what the report could be about so could be anything from a set report to maybe a preview of a teaser trailer. Assuming rumor is true, will find out then. The second related program comes from Encore Movie Channel which will air a documentary about Industrial Light & Magic

Transformers: Prime Premiere Dated?
TFW2005 is reporting that Transformers: Prime will premiere on Friday, November 26th at 8:00pm EST along with the G.I. Joe: Renegades at 8:30pm. The information comes from TV Tango's listing for the Hub. The information is sorta backup up by The Hub website which says the show will premiere in November but provides no date or time. Since the network continues to bizarrely treat their schedule as state secrets, no telling when official confirmation of Prime's premiere will be released.

di Bonaventura: More Comedy Than Before
In an interview with IGN while promoting Red, Transformers 3 producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura spoke about 3D, comedy and action. At one point the he said the movie would have more comedy which seems to contradicts Michael Bay but he said he was "getting rid of ...the dorky comedy" so I guess that part is (hopefully) getting replaced with more natural comedy. Thanks to rumah for the link."[3D] captures scenes in a way they haven't been captured before and here's a different sensibility to the movie as a result" he explained. The information comes from Amazon, via TFW2005, with an early entry for Transformers 3 Push-Pops, which are books with pop-up pages based on the movie. Well "plot" might be too strong a word as it doesn't reveal a thing that Michael Bay didn't talk about more than four months ago in a USA Today article. The news yesterday was mostly about the car accident between Bumblebee and a Washington DC cop, but that was not all that occurred yesterday. Transformers 3 was filming in several locations around the National Mall. Part of the reason Michael Bay was not spotted at the accident is because he was in front of the American Red Cross Headquarters, filming a retro scene that may tie into a rumored 1960s flashback that is related to space race. Meanwhile Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kevin Dunn and Julia White drove around in the Datsun PL510 (from Chicago and Indiana) and other vehicles
